Job Description:

Development Manager

About Financial Beginnings Washington
Financial Beginnings Washington is an affiliate of Financial Beginnings USA, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and adults to take control of their financial futures.  We have been operating in Washington State since 2014 under the direction of the CEO and founder, who is based in Portland, Oregon.  In 2017, the Board of Directors voted to pursue a nationwide expansion, thereby creating a national office and two state affiliates (Washington and Oregon), each with its own 501(c)(3) status.

Financial Beginnings Washington provides no-cost financial education across the state in partnership with schools and community-based organizations. We offer a full suite of programming using age-appropriate curricula for K-12 students as well as customized programming for college students, Spanish-speakers, and economically-vulnerable adults. Other programming includes: an annual financial literacy conference, community panels on financial topics, and one-on-one financial coaching. Programs are enhanced by the career experience and personal knowledge of our volunteer instructors, who serve as strong role models for participants. We believe empowering youth and adults to make informed financial decisions increases the quality of their lives and the vibrancy of our communities.
