Job Description:

Summary
 
The GiveBIG Manager leads the planning, marketing and communications aspects of SeaFdn’s annual day of giving.  The GiveBIG Manager monitors progress on the overall project plan, runs the weekly GiveBIG meetings, tracks outstanding issues/problems until resolution, serves as the primary liaison to our technology partner, coordinates with external partners including the PR firm and media partners, and manages external communications regarding GiveBIG.   Through scrupulous attention to detail with an understanding of how each one impacts the larger picture, and by solving inevitable problems collaboratively as they arise, the GiveBIG Manager maintains results-driven framework that leads to a successful GiveBIG.  The GiveBIG Manager reports to the Vice President/Marketing & Communications. 
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Project Management
·         Develops and tracks progress on overall GiveBIG project plan, reporting on delays/outstanding issues/problems and tracking until resolution.
·         Coordinate GiveBIG activity including managing the calendar, filing expenses, vendor management, and maintaining archives of GiveBIG related agreements and communications
·         Plans and runs GiveBIG team meetings including scheduling, recording and distributing notes, assisting with follow-up on tasks.
·         Support the GiveBIG team by being a resource for information on, and general know how for, administrative and operational procedures, and practices.
·         Serves as primary liaison to CiviCore, the giving day technology platform provider, facilitating problem-solving, assigning work to team members and documenting issues and resolutions.
 
Marketing
·         With the oversight of the Director of Marketing, manages updating GiveBIG brand, development of marketing-related GiveBIG assets for NPOs and SeaFdn, including toolkit, video, printed collateral, etc, ensuring products are error-free, on brand and delivered on time.
·         Ensures the www.givebigseattle.org web site content is updated with timely and accurate information, coordinating with CiviCore and other members of the GiveBIG team to curate, review and implement content changes.
·         Manages relationship with The Seattle Times for production of The Giving Guide, writing copy, providing lists and other content, and ensuring accuracy and brand compliance of the overall product
·         Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, oversees user experience testing to ensure giving process is intuitive and functional. 
 
Communications
·         Maintains GiveBIG communications calendar, develops and/or reviews communications to nonprofits and sponsors and ensures they are distributed as scheduled.
·         Manages GiveBIG content on www.seattlefoundation.org web site, including blog posts.
·         Coordinates relationship with 206agency, ensuring input and feedback is provided on a timely basis, deliverables stay on track and final products are error-free.
·         With the oversight of the Director of Communications, works with the nonprofits to identify story and photo ideas that can be used effectively in GiveBIG public relations
·         Works with 206agency and Director of Communications to plan, schedule and prepare CEO for pre- and day-of GiveBIG press activities.
·         Contributes to the GiveBIG Party, coordinating as needed with the Events & Sponsorships Manager
 
Qualifications
•        Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; marketing, communications, public relations
·         Strong Project management and event planning experience
·         Strong Wordpress experience
·         Experience with and knowledge of online giving campaigns through third party vendors
·         Experience working with nonprofits, with a an understanding of fundraising
•     Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
