Job Purpose:

Technology & Database Management: Has administrative oversight and content control of the database and online grant application and recommendation systems to ensure data integrity. Is responsible for generating ongoing and special reports. Reviews how usage and needs align with technology platforms and capabilities.
Grants Administration: Performs due diligence, inputs grant and scholarship applications, prepares grants and scholarships (with collateral documentation) for distribution, maintains back-up documentation, and responds to reporting needs.

Administration & Support: Provides administrative support through accurate record keeping, process improvements, and quality control including support of community partnerships.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

The position responsibilities include:
• Manage the Foundation database systems including Foundation Information Management Systems (FIMS) and external facing grant application and donor services portals
• Maintain the overall integrity and quality of Foundation databases and reporting by developing policies and procedures for usage, training staff to promote compliance, and auditing for accuracy and consistency of data
• Manage the overall configuration, exports, imports, and uploads within and between databases
• Develop, maintain, and run queries and reports in response to ad hoc requests as well as scheduled needs
• Ensure that all grantees have met Foundation’s due diligence standards
• Manage the processing of all grants and scholarships, maintaining quality control standards for all applications being processed, following up on details and working with staff, grantees, students, and donors to ensure accuracy of data, intent, supporting paperwork, collateral, and transactions
• Support community partnerships by working with donors, grantees, and other partners to move collective goals forward
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (focus on data, information management, business, or computer science a plus)
• 3-5 years’ experience in database administration
• Advanced or Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word (SharePoint and Office 365 a plus)
• Relational database experience (FIMS knowledge a plus)
• Ability to run reports and provide analysis of information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively one-on-one with a broad range of individuals as well as part of a team, providing technical support and assistance as needed over the phone and via email
• Ability to handle confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information requiring judgment and discretion
• Ability to be focused and detailed, meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks, be organized and effective, self-directed while maintaining priorities
