Job Description:

The Event & Donor Relations Coordinator provides project management and administrative support for Pride Foundation’s resource development and fundraising efforts across our five states. The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of activities relating to resource development and donor relations including event management, research to support solicitation and stewardship efforts, mailings, and regular communications with fundholders and other supporters.

Ongoing Responsibilities
  1. Manage all aspects of fundraising events, including:
  • Two signature annual event series (Scholarship Celebration and Year-End Celebration) hosted in Seattle and in each state across the region.
  • Providing logistical support for The Equity Awards Gala in Oregon.
  • Ongoing online and in-person donor education events and seminars.
  • Annual shareholder briefings for fund holders and other key supporters.
  • Two donor appreciation events: One for major donors and one for planned gift donors.
  • House party support locally and across the region.
  • Post-event stewardship efforts.
  1. Support community engagement department operations, including:
  • Coordinating and implementing donor mailings.
  • Updating the donor database in coordination with the Data Manager, including gift processing as needed.
  • Tracking fundraising goals on a monthly basis with Data Manager.
  • Support and work closely with community engagement interns.
  1. Lead the production of donor-specific communications and solicitations, including:
  • Supporting the creation of bulk email and direct mail solicitations and stewardship pieces.
  • Creating and implementing campaigns for online giving days.
  • Contributing to the creation and tracking of donor segments for solicitation and stewardship efforts.
  • Working with Communications & Outreach Manager to coordinate and execute communications.
  1. Support and cultivate an equitable “culture of philanthropy” at Pride Foundation in which everyone participates in resource mobilization and outreach efforts, especially through:
  • Supporting the thoughtful integration of the Racial Equity Action Plan into the work of the community engagement department.
  • Assisting the board in their resource development efforts and co-leading learning opportunities.
  • Serving as a point-person and resource for five Regional Philanthropic Officers to support their local resource development efforts.
  • Stewarding and growing planned giving among donors with Director of Community Engagement.
  1. Help strengthen relationships with a diverse base of individual donors, businesses, and other stakeholders through activities that include:
  • Attending community events
  • Researching and developing engagement strategies.
  • Writing donor profiles.
  • Conducting prospect research.
