Advocacy and Policy Manager Announcement
The Housing Development Consortium of Seattle-King County (HDC) is hiring an Advocacy and Policy Manager to work closely with the policy staff team (including the executive director and policy manager) to implement HDC’s strategic advocacy and policy priorities. The Advocacy and Policy Manager will also manage a specific portfolio of policy work, as identified jointly with the policy team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years progressively responsible experience in policy, advocacy, affordable housing or campaigning.
  • Relevant experience in issues advocacy, community outreach and civic political processes
  • Strong commitment to increasing the supply of affordable housing in King County
  • Competency in Microsoft Office programs including, Word and Excel
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written

Other
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license.
Salary range is $52,000-$56,000 annually, depending upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include a prepaid ORCA card, paid vacation and sick leave, comprehensive health insurance and 401k Plan. Mileage and parking compensation for work-related travel using personal vehicles is also available.
