 POSITION: Government Grant Writer

The Government Grant Writer is responsible for securing grant-based funding from public sources (city, county, state and federal) and assuring accurate and timely reports for these grants once funded. This position serves as the project lead for all public grant-writing and grant reporting projects to which they are assigned. As the project lead, the Government Grant Writer is responsible for working with appropriate program staff to oversee all research, writing, production, delivery, follow-up, evaluation and measurement functions associated with public grant-writing and reporting projects. As a member of the grants team, assists if available and able, on community grants.

 1. Bachelor's degree required.
 2. Proven grant writing and verbal skills.

 1. Valid Washington State driver's license, car insurance and reliable vehicle.
 2. Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business must have a safe driving record as defined by Friends of Youth. Employees and volunteers who operate their own vehicle(s) on Friends of Youth business must carry auto liability insurance that complies with the requirements of Friends of Youth.
 3. Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check.
