Job Description:

ABOUT THE POSITION: The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the facilities management needs of 4 to 5 multi-use properties directly managed by Compass Housing Alliance in the Seattle area. They are involved in all aspects of operations of the property, including compliance, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, and other operational aspects of the buildings. The Manager will assist in defining a high standard of maintenance and repair while ensuring the safety and well-being of the clients/residents and staff. They will oversee Maintenance Technician staff and also be required to perform hands-on work at the properties, when/where needed.

LOCATION: Compass on Dexter building in South Lake Union
REPORTS TO: Director of Housing Operations
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday days plus evenings and weekend for emergencies
SALARY RANGE: DOE and within Compass ranges
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in construction management, engineering or other related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in building maintenance and repair operations.
  • 3 or more years of supervisory/management experience with 2 or more direct reports, desired.
  • 3 or more years of project management experience related to building maintenance and operations with experience seeing projects to completion, desired.
  • Familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, desired.
