The Corporate and Events Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining HealthPoint’s corporate partners and their philanthropic involvement with the organization. This position will be responsible for partnering with our business leaders to plan and execute HealthPoint fundraising events.
Your contribution to the team includes:
• Assist with the Development Director with the design and development with HealthPoint’s events and corporate strategy with key HealthPoint partners. • Develop the project/work plan and implements the events and corporate strategy. • Manage relationships with existing corporations, as well as identifying and cultivating new prospects, including but not limited to acknowledging corporations and donors through public and private recognition as strategizing with donors and clearly communicating HealthPoint’s mission is key. • Engage stakeholders to plan events, persuade prospects and execute on event goals with internal and external partners. • Create, manage and coordinate fundraising events for HealthPoint, including HealthPoint’s annual fundraising gala, Kaleidoscope. • Assist corporate partners in accomplishing their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with HealthPoint. • Manage existing portfolio of approximately 100 corporations and prospects. Secure sponsorships at the $1,000 to $50,000 level with the goal of raising $500,000 through events and sponsorships. • Make direct, face-to-face solicitations, and assist the board and other staff with their solicitations. (e.g. provide portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and help with donor communications) • Administers systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including HealthPoint’s donor database as well as report progress using specific metrics. • Collaborate within the development department to align efforts and set goals for growing HealthPoint’s philanthropic support and executing major campaigns. • Partner communications team to develop effective and consistent messaging for events and related activities.
Must have’s you’ll need to be successful: • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university and three to five years relevant fundraising experience, such as managing corporate relationships or corporate giving, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Knowledge of, or experience with corporate philanthropy models. • Experience with planning and demonstrated ability to successfully implement projects/events. • The incumbent will be expected to take initiative, be a self-starter able to work independently yet also able to excel in a collaborative environment and work well within a complex organization. • Ability to relate to corporations with diverse needs for acknowledgement and recognition. • Must maintain professionalism, show flexibility, be customer service oriented, have a strong attention to detail, handle multiple tasks and changing priorities, and remain composed under pressure of deadlines.
If you know about the following it’s a plus: • Certified Fundraising Professional (CFRE) designation preferred, not required
